Erin
Erin was a student at Maplewell in the main school. Erin left Maplewell in June 2020 with a set of GCSEs at above grade 5. She chose to go to College to study A’ Levels. After a shaky start, Erin is now settled and doing well. She plans to continue in education and is applying for university.
She delivered an assembly at Maplewell for Key Stage 4 students to tell them about her experience of leaving Maplewell. She gave an honest and inspiring ‘warts and all’ talk. On the back of this, she was invited to return to school to record a podcast so that her story could be heard by a wider audience. Any student (and their parents or carers) thinking about going to college should give the podcast a listen.
