Domestic Abuse

Domestic violence and abuse involve coercive, controlling, threatening behaviour, violence or abuse between intimate partners or family members who are 16 and over.

Children who witness domestic violence are also victims and are at higher risk of other types of abuse.

If you’re worried about a child, speak to your DSL (deputy DSL) and follow the school’s procedures for reporting safeguarding concerns.
