John Allen, a trusted governor and Chair of the finance and pay and personnel committees has passed away. John has been a wonderful servant to the school and has overseen significant changes during his time as a governor, playing a key role in the strategic running of the school.
John’s background in finance was immensely impressive and he proved to be a supportive governor, whilst planning and enabling the school to grow.
John also made the third highest number of appearances in the history of the Leicester Tigers, totalling 457 appearances.
He will forever be remembered for his truly outstanding contribution to Maplewell Hall School. Our dearest thoughts and wishes go to his family and friends.
Rest in peace John. You will be sorely missed.
