Maplewell pupils have been totally engaged with the Soar to Somme project. Our pupils enjoyed meeting the experts from the Century of Stories team as it inspired them in many different ways.
The pupils all created independent art pieces based on their own interpretations from the sources of information shared with them. I am very proud of the pupil achievements as well as the standard of work that they have created. The enthusiasm shown by all involved is a real mark of remembrance to The battle of the Somme. We are very proud to be a part of this project.
Maplewell will continue working with the team as they provide such brilliant opportunities for the pupils.
