What it’s about:

For parents and carers of teenagers aged 11 to 16 years old’

The workshops support parents and carer who find themselves in difficulties with the behavioural and communication challenges that the teenage years can present. The group follows a step-by-step process, helping parents and carers to identify what their teenager’s difficult behaviour is, why it is happening and how they might go about changing it.

Parents who have attended a Living with Teenagers group report that they feel less anxious because they have discovered that they are not the only ones dealing with these problems.

The group aims to recognise that parents and carers are the real experts on their own teenager, whilst giving them the opportunity to share their experiences with other parents and carers.

We will support parents and carers in developing their skills in coping with and managing their teenagers behaviour. Groups run for 2 hours per week for 7 weeks. Any parent, grandparent or carer of a teenager aged 11 to 17 years old can book a place on the workshop.

What other parents have said about the workshop:

‘I like the chance to hear other people’s experiences’

‘Enjoyable and engaging. Looking forward to next week’

‘I like the way everyone can speak freely and each situation is spoken about’

‘Everyone was relaxed and calm and I felt really welcome every week’.
