At Maplewell we understand that examinations can be a stressful time for both students and parents. This is why we believe it is important that everyone involved in exams are as well informed as possible. To ensure that the exams run smoothly and disturbances are kept to a minimum, we make sure that all students are aware of the rules and regulations in place, and that they follow them.
Throughout the year we are making every effort to ensure that your child receives the necessary preparation for their exams in order to achieve the best results possible. We will do our best to make sure the exams are conducted in a way that will cause the least amount of stress possible. Mock exams are also run to the same standards ensuring our students are familiar with the process beforehand.
When we issue a student with their exam timetable, we also provide an Exams Guide for both students and parents. This is intended to help both you and your child become more familiar with the examination process. It also includes formal notices that are required by regulations to be given to each candidate.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding exams, please feel free to contact the school.

Please note that the Summer exam dates are set nationally by the Awarding Bodies and are not flexible in any way. In addition to the Summer exams, we will also be conducting on-demand exams for qualifications such as Functional Skills. These will be taking place throughout the year and if your child is involved in these, you will be notified closer to the time.
